Andrew - another of your usual excellent reviews. Except - I'm left thinking the only way you would have enjoyed this book fully is if it had been produced in 1962.

I actually found the GN to be a wonderful evocation of that period - and I thought that enriched the story. The Parker story is somewhat one-note - but the GN brought the period to the table that gave it added interest for me.

But then, I'm the guy who is drawing a story set in 1930.

Actually The first series of Parker books ended with Butcher's Moon. Child Heist only exists as a few chapters in the third Dortmunder book, Jimmy The Kid.

I picked up the IDW preview book at SDCC and read the first pages of this book during an Starbucks break. I really have to get this book.
