Wolverine Artist Appreciation Month, part two
To the list of Wolverine artists that we’re appreciating because Marvel isn’t, it seems we sadly must now add Frank Miller and Josef Rubenstein.
Why? Because of this cover. The Washington Post lists the artist as Morry Hollowell, completely skipping over the work of the original artists.
Unless they’re really trying for the Pop Art thing by not acknowledging the original artists…? Hey, it worked for Roy.
Yup. Lichtenstein is one of the biggest phonies who ever conned the critics; Warhol (of course) and wossname with the crude outline dancing figures also come to mind.
Keith Haring, you mean? I went to the college Haring dropped out of-SVA. I remember a cartoon in the school newspaper where someone did 4 drawings in Haring's style and the caption asked what did each of the drawings meant. The answers were beneath the drawings, upside down. You turned it over and the meaning of each drawing was the same…"I don't know how to draw".
Yeah. Dat deo one.
Oh, lord, i can't even humourously mangle the language without committing typos!
