    One of my favorites among the many delightfully daft elements of THE COMPLETELY MENTAL MISADVENTURES OF ED GRIMLEY was its affectionate parodies of pop culture and classic movies. For instance, I must confess that even before I saw and enjoyed SOME LIKE IT HOT (hooray for TCM!), I always got a kick out of Miss Malone (Catherine O’Hara) and her lament “Why do I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop?”, or “Now listen, you son of a sea cook…!” Viva Martin Short and Company!
