In the late 1960s, Jim Henson and cartoonist Johnny Hart teamed up to produce a pilot for a TV series based on Hart’s and Brant Parker comic strip The Wizard of Id. According to the Henson Company blog, the response was pretty positive, but by the time ABC made the decision to move on it in 1970, Henson had already moved on himself to work on Sesame Street.
Take a look and see what you think. Although it does remind me a bit of King Friday XIII from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, it works suprisingly well, doesn’t it?

You know, I was so proud of Zack Snyder. After doing a George Romero remake (Dawn Of The Dead) and two comic book adaptations (300 and Watchmen) I was happy to hear that he was finally doing an original film, Sucker Punch, before he got started on the next Superman film.
Of course, then I found out that he’s just remaking Disney animation…

Kudos to our friend Russ Rogers, for finding this gem of a mashup. Normally we give you guys a cool trailer mashed with another trailer. But today, we’ve got something far cooler. Take Joss Whedon’s interweb hit “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog” and re-imagine it as an old school top down RPG ala Dragon Warrior. What do you get?
