Happy 95th birthday, Gene Kelly!
Just because… oh, all right, we’ll tie it into comics somehow. Here, enjoy one of the more interesting crossovers from the MGM days:

Ok I need to refer back to Glenn's previous article about the superpowers…..mine would be: to able to go back in time. Reason why? So I can go back to the 50's to be with Gene Kelly!!!!! Thanks Glenn for remembering Gene's birthday too – I thought I was the only one.
My mom studied dance with Gene Kelly in Pittsburgh, before he went to Hollywood.
He's a sailor! He's sailing!
This guy was all that and a ham sandwich. While doing 'Singing in the rain' he had the flu and a temperature over 100. He still showed up and did what is considered one of the greatest moments in movie history. Compare that to today's 'stars' show up late for call or not at all. Kelly was more of a true star than 99% of today's hollywood put together.
Send me back in time! Send me back in time NOW!!!!!!!! Singing in the Rain is by far my MOST favorite movie of all time. Michael, any chance if he were alive that you would have a number for him in your magical phone perhaps next to Wayne Brady?
What do you mean if he we alive? Hey I can STILL get him on the phone. That's how I roll.
I meant -What do you mean if he WERE alive? Hey I can STILL get him on the phone. That's how I roll. Sorry about the typo I went to public school.
Gene Kelly is probably my favorite movie star of all time. Nobody else perfected the look of absolute adoration that his face projected for his leading ladies in so many movies. He was absolute grace and perfection. Just this last week I rewatched Singing in the Rain and On the Town. Kelly's politics were also extremely admirable, by the way. By the way, Mike Baron, I am so totally jealous of your mom.
Don't be. Gene left town before Mom learned to dance.
Oh Mr. Mighty Davis…please get me Gene Kelly on the line. Throw in Wayne Brady and whomever else you would think I would enjoy talking to. I know how you roll which is why I have the pineapple backs waiting for the shots for after/before/during the Gene Kelly conversation. BTW you can still mis-spell after catholic school :) Must have been those uniforms we had to wear.
