I absolutely LOVE this show. I read the first couple of books by Charlaine Harris, but, although I am an avid reader and usually prefer to read the books, in this case I prefer the show, as the actors bring realism to the whole thing. I only hope that Lafayette is NOT dead, (although I hear if the books are followed, he is) because he is a central character in the show and "livens" it up! A gay man who can be very "manly" when the occasion calls for it, he is a refreshing additive.

I too feel in Love with the show's LaFayette. Alas, his death will provide more colorful people to take up his position. (I have read all the books) The series has already gone a little wayward of the books (Enough to make me wonder how they are to explain some things that are sure to follow in season 2) but they are interesting non the less.
