'GrimJack: The Manx Cat' #1 available from IDW Publishing this August
We might as well make it official:
IDW Publishing is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the first series of ComicMix.com properties, GrimJack: The Manx Cat. For the first time in print, fans can now enjoy the adventures of GrimJack in 26 full color pages published straight from the online comic. Writer John Ostrander and artist Timothy Truman skillfully return to the grim and gritty interdimensional land of Cynosure, in which gun-for-hire GrimJack holds court in the fabled Munden’s Bar.
“We’re excited to be bring some of the best ComicMix properties to real-world books, and GrimJack is a great way to start,” said Greg Goldstein, chief operating officer of IDW. “The new books are a great new way to enjoy ComicMix fans to enjoy their favorite comics, and expose the properties to new fans.”
GrimJack debuted in the mid-80s and rapidly became one of First Comics’ best-selling titles. Created by Ostrander and Truman, the series was revived in 2005 for the graphic novel Killer Instinct, published by IDW, which is also home to the trade paperback reprints of the First Comics’ material.
“It’s sort of a homecoming for us,” GrimJack and ComicMix editor-in-chief Mike Gold notes. “We’ve had a long and productive relationship with IDW – absolutely the best I’ve had in my career. There’s no better choice to restart at the place we took off initially, with a brand-new GrimJack mini-series.”

How will the IDW printing of "The Manx Cat" differ from ComicMix, besides the obvious, "It's on paper, Dummy"?
Will there be any Munden's back up features? Will there be text features?
Let's see, 26 full color pages, direct from the online comic (150 pages) means about a six issue mini-series.
But if you toss in the pages of Munden's that have already been published on ComicMix as a back-up feature (which is the way the Good Lord Protintended both GrimJack and Munden's to be read), you add in another 60 or so pages and stretch this mini-series out to 8 or 9 issues.
BTW, the comments pages seem to be missing from the ComicMix GrimJack issues. Is that intentional? Or did links get lost when you upgraded pages or something?

I'm really happy its finally coming out on paper and hope like the last mini series from IDW its all Grimjack ! already put my order in at the local comics shop (who would have not ordered it if I never went in to ask for a copy, but thats just the sign of the times seeing that there is so meny titles out to order an new mini series can be missed !) Its good to see the news of this title finally on Comicmix as I first found out about this a week ago over at John Ostrander's massage board

So the numbered TPB I purchased from ComicMix of the Manx Cat isn't on paper? Wow. It feels and looks just like paper.

That's actually slightly psychic paper. There's nothing actually printed on it, you just think there is.
