   I'm sorry, and I apologize in advance, but this needs to be said: this guy needs to shut the f**k up. Ignorance is one thing I cannot stand. Unbelievable.Glenn, I don't know you, and I'm not about to suggest that I know what I'm talking about or to tell you how to do your job, so please don't take this as such. My thoughts on idiots like Fred Phelps is this: the less people post links and report on things he's doing, the better it is for everyone involved, because in my eyes, posting and reporting on things that the ignorant are doing is only spreading their voice. Just my two cents, again, no disresepct intended.

     No offense taken. You'll note I didn't link directly to the yo-yo for precisely that reason, but I do want his hateful venom aired out. More, I want to see people like Pat Robertson deny it.

   Heath Ledger may not be consequential, but a 'religious leader' like Phelps is non-entity to anyone who has a brain and an ounce of compassion. People who follow idiots like this are all too willing to blame the problems of the world on others, instead of looking for, and trying to correct, the evil that lurks within their own hearts. Hopefully, Phelps will suffer the fate he wishes on Ledger when he goes to meet his very disappointed maker.

   it's not so amazing that bottom-feeders like Phelps exist. What's amazing is that they attract so many followers.I prefer revealing them to the light of day. Smoke them ALL out. We need to know who the enemy is. We need to know who's stalking us when we look in the American rear-view mirror.

   The rotting cryptkeeper (as Phelps is known via liberal blogs) has a habit of doing this. That he and his followers protest at FUNERALS should tell you everything you need to know about their brand of faux-"Christianity."

     I think (hope) we can all agree that protesting at a funeral is a terrible idea. It's insulting to the family and a manipulative way to force your own agenda on a sad event.Any protesting.For any agenda.

   If the funeral is in Ledger's native Australia, perhaps they won't even let Phelps & Co. into the country.

   There is an organisation of vets – most of them bikers – who attend funerals that Phelps and his pack are attempting to desecrate and, while offering no violence to the picketers, place themselves between the picketers and the mourners so that the mourners don't have to look at the assholes.I'm not a biker – i am a (non-combat) Viet Nam vet – and i would show up to take part in something like that if it was going sown in my area.

   Sane, rational people often ask how there can be people who perform vigilante justice.If Phelps and friends were to picket somebody I know, I might well become violent, hopefully out of sight of the grieving.I am a lifelong pacifist, but sometimes I think violence IS the answer.Millions of people in this country living in poverty and these clowns waste money for stuff like this.

    I think God would be more concerned about desecrating a sacred rite of a man who played the part of a homosexual once in a history of film roles. He's already dead, he can't be a 'fag-enabler' any longer. I guess these people are just insensitive with a poor vocabulary. I don't think God hates, and I don't think he would waste a good spot in Hell for a good actor.

      Well, if anybody's going to be picketing the funeral, they're going to have to go to Australia.If they do, I hope somebody videotapes the, ah, local reaction.

    The saddest thing about this, is here are people, people that are supposed to be Christians, and it seems like all they stand for is to spew hate. I do not understand how they can consider other people as sinners when they are truely sinners too. Is not God the only one who can do the final judgment? If that is true, then why are they portraying themselves as Gods and passing judgment on others? Is this not breaking our first commandment? Self justification by hiding behind religion? Which really is the lesset of two evils here?When asked for my opinion on this group, I can only say that they really don't stand for anything. I think that because no Christian group would be so hateful as these people are. How can a religious organization that is supposed to be so God fearing and God loving, yet be so hateful towards their own brothers and sisters? I thought we were all God's children.

      I would like to say that as I am truly disturbed at these white trash freaks and their hate protests – I am kind of glad they do it in the way that they do it. It helps the general population see the very root of a lot of "Christians" hatred. I think it shines light to the millions of Christians at how some of the anti-gay beliefs they might preach are not far from the ones this Phelps freak teaches. Although not as severe, but as a general rule – Christians belive the same thing basically as he does. Homosexuality is still considered a heresy in most Churches. I think it's high time church goers start thinking for themselves and not swallow every little thing their minister tells them to believe, without reservation. If not, then by all means DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID! I have said it a million times – if Jesus Christ were to come back today and teach what he taught when he was here the first time, the religious leaders of our time would nail him right back up on that cross – just as the religious leaders did the first time. He taught to love one another, even when it goes against your religious dogmas. People worship religion, God is just an ingredient to the recipe.

    Is there a reason why ppl are so adoment about smashing God? I believe that because it is the last hour there are more demons at play,and sadly they sit in the church every sunday. From the PIMPIN PASTOR TO THE MEAN USHERS THAT HARRASS YOU IF YOU HAVE TO GET UP TO GO PEE,I by no meens am talking about all churches.But I am talking about 95% of it. I was raised in church and wanted and still do more than anything to know all I can about Jesus,I believe there is a great rapture comming(soon),and that Jesus is the son of God but I also belive what the bible says when it says that paralous times were upon us. I believe that this church has let the devil publicly cast a negitive light on this to keep the non beliver just hat….a nonbeliver. we just buried a man who shot to mothers in frount of the children and then killed hisself……a man who shot himself and his 8yo daughter and my uncle jonny who prefered to be a aunt. God is merciful and love…he's also the punisher and judge and jury. We dont run nothing though we'd like to belive we do. where he ends up is who's guess. But it would be just that….a guess. I belive that this is a publicity stunt,by the devil through this church and he is sitting back laughing at us while we get all rowled up and angry….his ultimate goal is to win as many souls by any meens necisary and his time is short. we as real christians dont have our religious nose in the air, we know we are sinners and spend our time making sure we pull as many for the winning side as possible.

    I don't know nothing about what y'all are talking about, but there is one thing that I do know! Hate is a waste of real time when one could be building bridges instead of burning them! And, hate wasted after the object of your hate has died, bounces back on the one who hates. What purpose could it serve when the hated person has departed for the great beyond. Wake up and get a life based on your own lives rather than the other lives where people are at least LIVING, doing something, taking a stand, loving, and living their destinies.
