William Shatner loves deep-fried turkey, but over many Thanksgivings and Christmases he’s made mistakes, burned himself, and nearly burned down his house. In this dramatic (of course) retelling, Bill shows us how dangerous turkey fryers can be.
So be careful out there. Or better yet, try brining the turkey overnight next year.

Michel Gondry steps in for ‘Green Hornet’— and here’s a bit you might not have known: Gondry had tried to do a movie version of The Green Hornet back in the late 90s with screenwriter Ed Neumeier, according to this interviw from 2007 in the Guardian.
Variety reports that, among those cast in J. J. Abrams’ new Star Trek movie is Simon Pegg, star of Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. He’s slated to play Scotty, the role made famous by James Doohan. The same story says John Cho (Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle) will be Sulu. The film is scheduled to go into production next month, with a Christmas 2008 release date.
(For those of you who don’t get the image at the right, Darick Robertson based the look of character Wee Hughie on Simon Pegg. So even if you haven’t seen Shawn of the Dead or Hot Fuzz or even that Doctor Who episode he did, you know what he looks like. Simon also did the introduction to The Boys trade paperback, and is a big comics fan.)
The Star Trek movie, co-starring Leonard Nimoy, has been fully cast with one important exception: the role of James T. Kirk. William Shatner holds out hope.
Geoffrey James made a feature-length animated film by reprogramming computer games. The result, the Star Trek film Borg War, with Patrick Stewart, Tim Russ and Brock Peters, will debut at the Official Star Trek Convention 2007 at the Las Vegas Hilton August 10.
According to the press release, Borg War clips have received more than a million downloads online. If you want to see the trailer for the feature, check out http://www.creationent.com/cal/stlv.htm.
Vegas expects more than 12,000 Trekkies, and a guest list that includes William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Brett Spiner and damn near everybody else who’s been associated with the franchise and remains alive. Also on the schedule — a Star Trek concert with members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
ShatnerVision reveals the "other side" of his interview on last week’s Henry Rollins Show, as William Shatner turns the camera around and interviews the musician/commentator after the show’s taping. In this video clip, Rollins answers the question "Who’s a Trekkie" with his typical to-the-bone sincerity and discloses the moral underpinnings of his worldview.
