This week The Tweeks review two new DVDs from the Warner Archives Collection: Hanna-Barbera’s Challenge of the Gobots! and Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos: The Complete Series. So the question is: are these classic re-releases just for children of the 80’s or do the Tweeks feel that it’s still something kids now will want to watch as well? There’s maybe even a little history lesson about the difference between Transformers & Gobots!

Following last weekend full of Free Comic Book Day and the Kentucky Derby, it’s only fitting that the Tweeks talk through IDW’s latest My Little Pony offerings: Friendship is Magic #18, Mini Comics, Micro Comics, and [[[Pony Tales]]] Vol. 1.  But don’t worry, if you aren’t a Brony yet, we explain Cutie Marks and the Cutie Crusaders – it’s kind of like handicapping.

Tweeks: John Allison’s Bad Machinery

bad machinery halloweenieThe Tweeks love anything British, they love comics, and they love groups of kids solving mysteries so of course they were freaking out over John Allison’s Bad Machinery series where a group of 6 preteens in Tackleford, England not only solve cases, but spazz out over unicorns in video games.  Watch our review of Volumes 1 and 2 and see why this is kind of like  a younger Buffy without the vampires or British cartoon-y Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys only better.

Tweeks WonderCon 2014 Report!

Also, they give quick definitions of what cons and cosplay are for the muggles in their audience.
