Nothing beats 90s R&B and Hip Hop. Some of the best music to grace our ears hitting the soundwaves. Transitioning from parachute pants to the sagging pants of the 90s, fashion was cool as a cucumber. This was the era I grew up in and left me feeling funky like a chunky monkey!

Which era provides you with the same affection for its own music and fashion? I’ve got tosay the 1980s — New Wave was bringing a whole lot of new bands and styles ato my attention, bright colors were in, and miniskirts came back. The fact I was a teen/young adult during those years has no bearing on my choice, I am sure. (The comics from that time had a similar effect on me – Grimjack, American Flagg, Cerebus, Jon Sable, etc . . .)

I used to have high hopes the 2020s would be my favorite period, but now am looking to the 2030s . . . .

It has to be the 80s for me. Prince changed the face of fashion with his iconic gender-bending outfits. There has been no one else like Prince since and Purple Rain is legendary.

The early to mid 90s grunge era was and always will be the best. Listening to Nirvana and Mazzy Star, wearing flannel shirts and just wanting to be PJ Harvey while watching My So-Called Life. Ahh, memories!

I love the 50s music and the 70s fashion. The fashion was more free and colorful. The music in the 50s and earlier was excellent and inspired many future artist to create.

I love the 1980’s. While I wasn’t alive during them, the culture, music and fashion stick around to this day. The bright colors and loud sounds of the fashion and music define this generation to me, it’s the decade that I can’t get enough of.

I love 80s rap that included icons such as MC Hammer. I always wanted a pair of Hammer pants because I believed they could make me fly.

I love Metal, so the 80’s will always be my favorite. Everything was flashy and over the top. And so much fun!!1

I love Michael Jackson’s music so it’s the 80s for me. Thriller was such a fun song and the fashion in the music was iconic of the era.

I would say the 90’s. I think just about everyone has a special affection for their high school era and that was mine. My taste is music completely changed when I found alternative rock. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins… it was such a great time for music. And fashion was fun, from flannel shirts and converse all stars to plaid skirts and mary janes a la Cher from Clueless. I just love all things 90’s and thinking about that era always brings a smile to my face.

I love the 70’s. Great bands, iconic music and movies, cool cars. Groovy!

Unfortunately or fortunately the 90s. I love it despite how, when I look back, some of the fashion was a little cringe…yet I still get nostalgic for it all in the best way.

It’s got to be the 40s and early 50s. So many great talents like Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby. And I live coming across songs from that era that have been redone or incorporated into music from that time period all the way up until now.
