The original V miniseries and this follow-up were quite good. I remember taking the time to watch them when they first aired. I liked them a lot.
I thought the weekly series had a rough start, then settled into a Casablanca-like detente scenario for awhile, which made for more interesting watching. And then the whole thing devolved into overacting and soap opera, which I can only assume was a desperate, last-minute attempt to improve ratings. By the time it ended I wasn’t sorry to see it go.
