I own the entire Ray comic series and there has never been the need to depict him as gay. Why the urgent need to do so now? Are the few people writing these things now so lacking imagination that they cannot conjure up any NEW ideas. Instead they have to twist previously loved characters into something completely different for the new blood? Alan Scott (golden age Green Lantern), is now gay (do Jade and Obsidian know about their dad? Maybe that’s what drove Obsidian nuts), and now Ray Terrell? WTF. The new word is that the next Superman might be black, again, WTF? Do you have problems with the way they were originally depicted? Bring some freaking originality into your writing, stop trying to change what was loved by millions of fans over the years. This social engineering crap is out of hand. You are destroying your current and past fan bases with crap like this. Just Stop!
