Martha Thomases brought more comics to the attention of more people than anyone else in the industry. Her work promoting The Death of Superman made an entire nation share in the tragedy of one of our most iconic American heroes. As a freelance journalist, she has been published in the Village Voice, High Times, Spy, the National Lampoon, Metropolitan Home, and more. For Marvel comics she created the series Dakota North. Martha worked as a researcher and assistant for the author Norman Mailer on several of his books, including the Pulitzer-Prize-winning Executioner's Song, On Women and Their Elegance, Ancient Evenings, and Harlot's Ghost.

I minored in English in college and read almost all of Shakespeare’s plays. The uproar concerning Trump-as-Caesar in this production makes me wonder if the protestors know how the play ends. Marc Antony’s eulogy of Caesar in which he lists the things Brutus charged Caesar with, disputes those charges and then ends each item with “But Brutus is an honorable man.” makes the crowd look around and say, “Hey… wait a minute!” Okay the actual line is, “If thou consider rightly of the matter, Caesar has had great wrong.”

Of course the crowd turns on the assassins and they come to bad ends. Unless the play has been substantially altered, me thinks they doth protest too much.
