Molly, when I was a guest at last summer’s Denver Comic Con, the volunteers who helped get my “sea legs” and made sure I got to my panels on time were all absolutely fantastic!!!!

What the hell happened to: “You’ll get a refund of your convention fees once you complete the requisite volunteer time.”

I know this was the way it was done, more thirty years ago, at Bay-Con, who had Spider and Jeanne Robinson as GoH, which I attended. Seemed a very reasonable deal to me. I think they had a pro-rata system in place as well. They could always stop accepting volunteers for the day when they had enough.
