The new metahuman? I keep thinking of someone like the New Types of Gundam: with an intrinsic ability to interact with modern technologies, both physical and informational; at home operating in space; and with a mild psychic bond with each other.

Off-topic: It seems that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Bendedict Cumberbatch share a common ancestor–a 14th Century gent named John of Gaunt, the fourth son of King Edward III. How cool is that?

“I’d also like to see a new definition of metahumans in society. Marvel made a big difference when it started up because their heroes had psychological problems, personal concerns, and often were acting out of guilt over something. Marvel became successful because they seemed new and closer to the world in which the rest of us lived. It re-defined the genre.”

John, I’d like to add that the X-MEN, in particular, has always been about the “outsider” and about tolerance and understanding and all that “kumbayah” stuff–and given the fact that since Trump’s elections hate crimes in this country has gone up, up, and up, I think that the X-MEN’s message is more important than ever.

Well-said, John. My wish? DC stops trying to kill off Katar Hol. ‘Nuff said.
