    One of my favorite writers, Andrew Klavan, said that if Muhammad Ali had been a white Quaker or a white Roman Catholic, his Consentious Objector status would not have been challenged.

    At the Chicago Comicon in 1978 Joe Kubert mentioned that he was initially slated to draw the Superman Vs. Muhammad Ali book but Ali didn’t care for his style so Neal Adams was brought it.

    There’s a picture floating around of Ali and a friend’s three-year-old son regarding each other with varying degrees of suspicion – taken at the first RiverCon (the 1975 DeepSouthCon) in Louisville…

    My parents have (had?) a picture–and I have no idea where it is–of them with Ali…they met him when they were on vacation somewhere.
