Of course, the simpler explanation for the cover is that it is a recreation of Adams’ cover for Superman (1st series) # 243, in which Superman is kissing a brunette in a similar pose (different leg raised). The woman on that cover is the same height at which Diana is drawn on the new cover. The original was published in 1971, and so the new one should be viewed as an historic homage, not any sleight towards Wonder Woman or implied sexism.

    Setting aside whether Diana is as tall as (or nearly as tall as) Superman – she’s wearing heels. Not really HIGH heels, but she’s got a couple inches under her there.
