Martha Thomases: Look Out, Here Comes Tomorrow

Martha Thomases

Martha Thomases brought more comics to the attention of more people than anyone else in the industry. Her work promoting The Death of Superman made an entire nation share in the tragedy of one of our most iconic American heroes. As a freelance journalist, she has been published in the Village Voice, High Times, Spy, the National Lampoon, Metropolitan Home, and more. For Marvel comics she created the series Dakota North. Martha worked as a researcher and assistant for the author Norman Mailer on several of his books, including the Pulitzer-Prize-winning Executioner's Song, On Women and Their Elegance, Ancient Evenings, and Harlot's Ghost.

Totally agree, Martha! I am more and more convinced that we are sisters separated at birth! :-D!

You know how much I love Adam Strange! (Mike gave me an Adam Strange action figure for my birthday!) And I, too, adore George Clooney. And Philip K. Dick. And all the others you mentioned.

    Another home run, sis!

Also, I think Hugh Laurie deserves an Oscar for the way he walks around in his ridiculous outfit without looking embarrassed. Now THAT’S acting.

I like the title of this column. A 1967 Monkees song sung by Davy Jones and written by Neil Diamond.
