Left to battle it out in this free for all frenzy is Not A Villain, Stand Still. Stay Silent, Girl Genius, and Shotgun Shuffle. To insure your web-horse wins, in addition to your votes, we also take donation bribes. All donations to the Hero Initiative in Round 5, brought in $297 (!) with thanks to your passion for your favorite!
Shotgun Shuffle, $179 (yes, $179)
El Goonish Shive, $4
Stand Still. Stay Silent, $27
Girl Genius, $5
Property of Hate, $36
Not a Villain, $1
Misfile, $45
And this round, we’re opening up the donations a bit… but first, let’s take a look at the final contestants!
ComicMix April Armageddon Webcomics 2015 Final Four Round
As always, we’re letting you support your favorite strips by paying for additional votes, but this time we’re making a slight change and giving you a choice. The first button is for the Hero Exchange…
…and the second button is going to Mr. Philip M. Hofer, better known to the webcomics community as Frumph, the man who created and maintains ComicPress and ComicEasel, which is the software a ridiculous number of webcomics run on. Frumph has spent countless hours helping people build their sites and making them just right. He suffered a computer meltdown in the last few days, and he needs funds to get a new machine– so we’re helping him out, and giving you the chance to help him as well.
The voting process will remain the same for each– simply click on the Donate button of your choice, and during checkout, click on “Which comic are you donating for?” and tell us who you’re voting for. The price is going up to 25¢ a vote this round, with a minimum of four votes purchased at a time, split any way you want. All proceeds from paid votes will go to the Hero Initiative, an organization that helps comic book creators in need. At the close of the round, we’ll add the paid votes to the totals and announce the winners who move on to the brackets. (Note: your donations to Hero are tax deductible, donations to Frumph are not.)
Voting ends at midnight Eastern Time on Wednesday night! Good luck to everyone!
Go Shotgun Shuffle!
Go Shotgun Shuffle you magnificent bastard!
BULLY, I say. Bully. Such a dashing and ruddy young lad to be running in this competition. And the use of a shotgun no less in the title. Well, it is in reference to “K.C. & The Sunshine Band.”
You need to fix the bribe button. When I click on it, it takes me to my PayPal homepage.
Thanks, fixed.
Excuse me Glenn but, Is there a reason for keep misinforming the last year winner?
I can’t believe it’s so hard to change one single word in a page.
Whoever wins, it’s been so rewarding to discover all these new webcomics I never knew about.
Glenn,
Your information is not correct, Grrl Power won last year. Paranatural did pull in the vote, but Grrl Power had the donations to put them ahead in the end.
There’s a mistake: the 2014 winner was GrrlPower.

I donated, but I guess doing it from an iPad didn’t give me the option of choosing a comic. I did note it in the comment section in the paypal payment. Is that enough?
Yep.
Hey Glenn,
Are you planning on doing the final round this week? I’d like to do another art incentive. Be good to know what day you’re going to kick it off if Shotgun Shuffle can make it through.
That’s the plan. Hope to kick it off on Thursday, if we can tally the donations quickly enough.
And you’ll still be in it for third place, at least.
I didn’t see a place to note where my donations were going- I wanted my donation to be half Shotgun Shuffle and half Stand Still. Stay Silent.
A fan of the letter “S” I see… ;-)
I also didn’t see a place to note where I want my votes to go when donating. I want all of them to go to Stand Still, Stay Silent…
I hate saying something about this in the open without privately messaging you all about it first, but I just can’t find a place to message y’all that might be answered quickly and is private.
There are huge discrepancies between times refreshing the vote results here. In a 2 minute period I got
Not a Villain 1462
Stand Still. Stay Silent 1498
Girl Genius 1078
Shotgun Shuffle 926
then
Not a Villain 1484
Stand Still. Stay Silent 1579
Girl Genius 1100
Shotgun Shuffle 1054
and then
Not a Villain 1574
Stand Still. Stay Silent 1529
Girl Genius 1097
Shotgun Shuffle 934
in that order. The insane swings in the vote totals are already being discussed in more than one of the competing comic comments sections. I don’t know what the problem is with your poll software, but you may wish to speak with the programmers quickly to see what can be done to fix it.
Hello, similarly to the two persons above, I had a problem when making my donation, as it didn’t lead me anywhere I could specify who I was making the donation for; I wanted it to go to Stand Still Stay Silent, please.
You might want to check your receipt that you got from the donation, and send a copy of it to Glenn via email along with the comic that your donation is for.
What is the correct email address to send that to?
One would have to check the earlier posts, maybe round 3. Hold on. It was round three. Let me cut & paste here.

Go to http://www.comicmix.com/contact-us/ and send a copy of the Paypal receipt, and we’ll make sure it’s credited.”
And that’s a direct quote. Good luck.
Thank you. I’ve sent an email.
There is a problem with the numbers on the servers hosting the poll.
