  1. Well, I knew it wasn’t April first, but…

I remember back when the original book was out, I thought Doug E. Doug would make a good live-action static. Kel Mitchell could have pulled it off during the All That / Kenan & Kel days – look how good he was in Mystery Men, (not (quite) sarcasm). I don’t know who I’d cast now. If Hollywood had its way, they’d probably cast one of the guys from One Direction.

Static was clearly the breakout hit of the Milestone line, thought it’s great that Icon and hardware were showing up on Young Justice. But yeah, we’ve been asking for years why we never got action figures, or a direct to video movie, or anything that you would expect to follow a hit TV show. And the only reason I’ll keep asking is it’s fun to watch folks at DC / WB shuffle their feet and mumble uncomfortably.

I keep getting the impression that DC really does want to do something with Static – they just can’t seem to get out of their way enough to get it done.

And I thought Muhammad Ali was the black Superman, like in that song.

    So Mr. Davis,

Is there any word on when we can see Static (and other Milestone) characters on the big/little screen? Or even in the comics?

I was really hoping for an announcement of some sort, between SDCC and NYCC, but…. Nothing.

Really looking forward to see the MS characters (especially Static, Icon, Rocket and Hardware) rejoing the DCU.

    BTW, that’s a cool-ass movie mock-up for Static.

Man, it musta been killing you, having to hold your tongue about this!!

Needless to say, I’m excited as hell for this. Can’t wait for more news about the MS characters, coming back to comics, movies, TV, video games & animation.
