    So Mike,
For those of us who have missed this summer’s celluloid heroes (yay Kinks) as well last year’s could you list the ones worth seeing and what order would be best for continuity sake? That would be a great service to me and definitely worth a cuisinary treat on our next visit!

Rarely, rarely do I read something written these days and say what I’m saying right now after reading that article.
    Yes.
Yes, exactly. While there were parts is Amazing Spider Man 2 that I thought very good and matching the source material, ultimately it felt like a failure; in comparison to the other films mentioned, it is a huge failure. But, I thank my lucky stars that I’m living in an age when we can look at Spider Man as a failure “in comparison to.” There are many summers previous where that would have been it, the only one to go to in an endless stream of romantic comedies and “movies to take the kids to.” My children are young, but I love that Dawn of Planet of the Apes, and X men, while hard pg-13, raise the bar, and ultimately challenge them (13 and 10, by the way). It’s a glorious time. Will it end? Well the law of finishing returns would say yes. That said, as the article above points out, it is quAlity, quality, quality which rules in the end. Financial support of quality is happening now and we should relish and celebrate such. But quality doesn’t go out of style. It rules. Wins. And then, so do we.
