I always thought myself more a writer guy than a artist guy, but I have to admit that the artist may leave more of a subconscious (and lasting) impression. I don’t think there was a definite Spider-Man artist when I started reading. Maybe John Romita, Jr., in the early 1980s, before he became super-stylized. Batman I suppose was Neal Adams (I’m Brazilian, and the Brazilian publishers released stories not always in the “correct” order).

I think John Byrne is the guy I most associate with the Marvel look, though. Ironic, since these days he wants nothing to do with Marvel. With Frank Miller being a close second, for the grittier parts of the MU. DC Comics had George Perez.

Doctor Who would be David Tennant. Ecclestone was not around long enough to make him “my” Doctor.
