I think they should have found someone of Indian (India) descent to play Khan. And use Benedict to play Governor Kodos in a later storyline.

He did very well, but I think he’d have nailed Kodos the Executioner better…

JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINALS DOESN’T MEAN IT”S WRONG OR BAD!

No, but the fact that it is bad does.

I still think a reboot of Gary Mitchell’s story would have worked just a well, if not better, especially as those who are not Trekkers would have been pleasantly surprised and drawn into the story. Overall I was very disappointed that the villain turned out to be Khan, although I get the marketing decision of Paramount in doing so–and btw, a second cameo by Leonard Nimoy? Does J.J. Abrams and crew have something against William Shatner? I think he deserves it.

As for the b.s. that Paramount is pulling in its release of the DVD…yeah, exactly. It’s bullshit!
