I’m with you and Gavin, John!!!!

In a world where a man can look out his window, see a black kid walking down the block, then pick up his gun, go outside, and hunt him down, and claim that he was “standing his ground,” the definition of SUPERHERO has definitely changed for the worse.

I really liked it but one (spoiler alert) real disappointment: Superman drinks Budweiser. How could this be?!?

He grew up on a farm in Kansas.

How’s he even gonna find out that good beer exists?

Great piece, John. As you can probably tell if you read my review, I’m with you on this, and you raise even more good points (and questions) about the type of movie this is and its failings as a Superman movie.

Much as I like watching Henry Cavill on the big screen, I’m not looking forward to the newly announced Superman/Batman movie – unless they drastically change Superman’s character by then.
