Speaking of when continuity was not so tight, I am sure this has been addressed by now but back in the 60s DC had Lori Lemaris’ Atlantis where the inhabitants were mer-people and Aquaman’s Atlantis where… they weren’t. Superman knew both and I don’t remember when they explained how/why there were two Atlantises. Has there ever been a crossover with Lori Lemaris and Aquaman?

I’m sure somebody worked out the discrepancy once the Boomers acquired a voice, George. But reconciling the DC Atlantis with the Marvel Atlantis — that’s a bit tougher.

They touched on the two Atlantises in Atlantis Chronicles, among other places.

The trick to Munden’s is that it is a nexus point of all realities, thus making crossovers possible and logicalish. Even then, we did crossovers with a degree of restraint, at least under my stewardship, just to keep it a surprise.

I look forward to the future adventures in Munden’s Bar. I’ve got a great idea for a Shakespearean murder mystery, but I’ll bet it’s already occurred to Brother John. Lotsa shared history, you know.

  3. I appreciate that Dark Horse appears to be NOT interested in creating a ‘universe’ with their new hero titles. Ghost and X seem to be starting up from scratch with no reference to their old stamping grounds of the cities of “Comics’ Greatest World.” They seem to be following Valiant’s lead in setting up familiar revivals as being stand-alone series. If a creator wants to do a team-up, they can do so, but without have to follow a shared universe dictate.
