    Well, it was established quite a ways back that Alfred had been in a commando (not “been a commando” – a “commando” is a unit, not a person) in WW2.

    Of course, that was long enough ago it’s no longer practical to refer to it.

      I think that was earlier. His background has changed several times.

      Maybe i’m thinking of the original animated series and the “Adventures” book line spun off it (which, for my money, were the best Batman books in years and haven’t been surpassed much if any since).

    For the first few years of Cartoon Network’s existence, programming meant for Cartoon Network would also be simulcast on TBS and/or TNT in order to increase the shows’ (and Cartoon Network’s) exposure; examples include The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Cartoon Planet, and 2 Stupid Dogs.;
