If you think Nolan was going to re-use the Joker for the 3rd movie, then you don’t know Nolan.

  3. I loved that they worked in a classic joke that fans of The League of Gentlemen know as “Death by Mau-Mau”. It’s utterly ridiculous, and I burst out laughing.

A few corrections from a Batman fan: Even if Ledger lived, Nolan wouldn’t have made another Batman film with the Joker as the main baddie. Nolan isn’t the type of director to repeat himself. Secondly, Bruce didn’t quit being Batman solely because of Rachel’s death, he also quit because he wasn’t needed anymore because of the Dent act. Thirdly, the film tells us Bruce was working on the fusion energy project three years before the film started. If you’re going to dislike or be skeptical over parts of a movie, make sure you understand those parts first.

The return of Batman to Gotham City was easily the most emotional part of the entire movie, besides Alfred’s tirade before he quit, but it was just too short! The Dark Knight Rises leaves no doubt that The Dark Knight was the best film of the trilogy, and I wasn’t sure about seeing this one in the theaters after what my coworkers at DISH said about it. So I waited for it to come out on DVD and Blu-Ray and got it shipped to me from Blockbuster @Home, and after watching it I took it back into the store and exchanged it for free for The Dark Knight. I’m thankful for it, because it erased any bad taste in my mouth from Rises!
