  1. Good god… someone get Mike some brisket and a nap. The plot was by-the-numbers. I didn’t expect much more than a re-imagining here. The casting was amazing. My only issue was the speed at which the evil plot had to get going… because they spent too much time having Peter stammer. Cute the first time, boring the 18th.

To say Spider-Man wasn’t being Spider-Man? Maybe they cut the version Mike saw. Maybe I should preface that; If Mike thinks that ANY of the Maguire Spider-Man performances was “more” spidey than Garfield? Then I don’t need to talk to him about it anymore. Because as far as this Chicagoan was concerned? Garfield was the best modern interpretation of the character I’ve ever seen portrayed, short of the “Sensational Spider-Man” cartoon version.

I can wait to see this Spidey on the small screen, thank you very much. I loved the first two Toby Maguire/Kirsten Dunst/Sami Rami movies and really liked the third.
