O_O how do I choose? Both of them are very good comics in very diferent ways.

  2. Bewildebeest says:

NOOOO NOT THIS THIS IS TOO HARD

IT’S LIKE CHOOSING BETWEEN BACON AND ICE CREAM

    • SOfi says:

Denny’s gave you the aption of not choosing between bacon and icecream for a few months and aparently BK is doing the same

  3. Yeé says:

Not that hard for me, GGAR of course. xD

  4. z says:

Results are tainted after the huge delay between this round and the two previous ones, the contest lost a lot of steam when it got off schedule IMO.

Not that it really matters, lol

    • Antares says:

Ya :\ at least there was a general grouping of comic goers at the start to cross vote. All we did was poke the contest for a day and it looks like we won. I actually expected to loss to Oglaf

  5. Bewildebeest says:

I wound up going for Oglaf because I enjoy the wider variety of body types. And the F*cktopus.

But I still love you, GGAR!

  6. OldBrit says:

Now GGAR had 148% and Oglaf 0%. Is that rounded up from -48%?

  7. Steve says:

Very disappointed at the way the last two rounds were set up, with no link to this age as recently as last week.

Pretty much killed the thing from my perspective.

    • Glenn Hauman says:

We did have it as the top story on the site, stuck on the top of the front page. But you\’re right, there should have been links from the previous contests.

      • Antares says:

You’d most likely do better as a battle royal format, with all the sites pointing at the contest for 2 weeks winner take all than a slow worn out bracket thing.

        >Also our new website address is http://www.gogetaroomie.com could you kindly link that instead of the old one.

        • Glenn Hauman says:

There are already enough places that do their own version of a battle royale– topwebcomics.com, etc. And this seems to do a pretty good job of driving traffic to other sites, which is part of our goal.

And we\’ll change the links shortly.

          • Antares says:

I meant in the sense it’s not a real contest/general audience contest in it’s current setup. Every week 1/8th of the voters will bug out since their comic isn’t linking here.

It’d be better to do it all at once while people are here than just widdle it down.

          • Glenn Hauman says:

That\’s like saying people don\’t care about the World Series or the Super Bowl because it\’s only between two teams. :-)

In our case, we\’ve seen our traffic go up consistently week over week during the months when we ran the contests (we lost momentum during this last one because we broke the cycle in the middle. C\’est la vie.) There are a few reasons why– word of mouth spreads over time, people don\’t care as much until they see two of their favorites go head to head, they find a strip that\’s new to them and it becomes a sudden infatuation, what have you.

          • Antares says:

True. I’d say next time make sure everything’s in place so it doesn’t die halfway through again. It’s already july and no ones one lol

BS, total-disgusting-makes-me-wonder-the reliability-of-this-entire-poll faeces of bovine!!!!! How can you have 0% of the votes when you actually got 1 vote out of 5. This is as disturbing as, say, someone getting more than 100%!

Oh, wait, they have here a participant getting 147%, which means they have 3841 votes out of 2613… Brilliant mathematics, indeed ¬_¬

    • B3nc0 says:

just wanted to say that I voted for the Roomie, so I’m not biaised or angry about seeing my favie losing! I guess letting money rule the world, her, I mean, richer guys bent vote results leads to abnormal said results, sigh…

      • Glenn Hauman says:

Sadly, the poll software has an odd bug with the percentages if you add votes from other areas. It still keeps accurate tallies of the totals, so we weren\’t too worried about it.

But yeah, it does look bad, and we hope to have it fixed for whenever we do the next contest.

        • B3nc0 says:

Thanks for the info (& your hard work in this entire contest b^^ )
Hope you’ll find a better-fitter-other software for the next time and the energy & necessary positive feedback ^^
