Mike, those are GREAT covers. And no. 6 is genius.

There’s also a must-see Blowncovers tumblr that holds weekly cover contests open to all: http://blowncovers.com/

BTW, I’m so going to look thru the bins for Wasteland now. Also, my FIRST thought when I saw the New Yorker cover was of the ‘Kiss’ between Uhura and Kirk.

Sometimes my nerdacity gives me pause.

Reg, #6 was “designed” by me — while I was moving from Fairfield CT to Norwalk, in response to an emergency phone call from Bob Greenberger. And did DC pay me for it? Ha!

  5. Reg says:

Mike, as you’re well aware, genius is most often birthed from desperation. Like I said, it’s a brilliantly descriptive cover. As far as DC’s diss, well…’nuff said.

If Blown Covers is a tenth as good as Wasteland, I’ll give it a shot!

We at New Comics Day love bad taste!

Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it, and I’m sure John does as well. One of the more pleasing aspects of going to conventions these days is the large number of people who come up to me to talk about Wasteland. It’s been 20 years; that’s really something.
