    Well, “The Avengers” will be getting my box-office money, TDKR not.

    If – and i say “if”, not “when” i see TDKR, it’ll be on DVD; i was one of the (apparently) few not really all that impressed by the last Bat-film. (Best part of it was Two-Face and they killed him off.)

    Agree with you on most part. The Avengers are suited for the whole family so it’ll probably make more money, but I think that’s only domestically. TDKR have a bigger chance of making more money world-wide, since TDK wasn’t shown in China and TDKR is.
    I’ll be seeing both, but I plan to see TDKR more than once!

    i think it ultimately depends on which movie plays in more theaters. i could be wrong, but i remember reading somewhere that tdkr is actually opening in more, giving it the advantage. both are going to make a ton, but i just think tdk was too well received for tdkr to not make as much, even if its not as good. and each have something extra to award the fans, 3d for the avengers, true imax for tdkr. so i expect those to balance each other out.
