I like your casting a lot. I haven’t seen much of Paul’s work, but he looks like a Johnny Storm. It would be tough to follow Chris Evans, he was perfect; but since he’s moved up the food chain to Cap, I’d guess that he won’t be offered Johnny in any reboots.(Before anyone yells at me for wanting to keep an actor from the old films in a reboot, just remember the Michael Gough played Alfred to three different Batmen and the differences between Burton’s and Schumacher’s movies pretty much make them different series.)

  2. Doug, that’s how I feel. Evan’s NAILED the role the first time around, but he IS cap now… So, I’d want a younger, fresh face. And while the only exposure I have to Paul is Breaking Bad? He’s so damned good in that role, I have to believe he has the chutzpah to be a great Johnny Storm.

NPH was Marc’s first choice for Johnny. While he would have been awesome, Aaron Paul looks like he could be Uma’s little brother. Now that I think about it, Matthew Lillard would’ve been good if the movie had been made at the same time as Scream. Lillard was kinda in his prime then. Nick Stahl would have been a good choice too, I think.

I think I’d use Steve Buscemi as Mole Man – other than height, he’s already got the look…

  5. I actually thought of that Jonathon… all jokes aside. BUT… I think Paul Giamatti has more… aggression.

No Wallace Shawn should be the Mole Man. Buscemi has a cameo as Impossible Man.

Uma Thurman? UMA THURMAN? Sorry, but she’s waaaaaaaaaaaaay too old to play Sue Storm (she turns 42 this year), at least if you’re looking to reboot the film series (if this were something along the lines of “the last stand of the FF,” she’d work fine).

Then, there’s the matter of “Batman and Robin” (as Poison Ivy), “The Avengers” (as Emma Peel), and “My Super Ex-Girlfriend (as the titular character), and you have the gall to suggest she portray Sue Storm? For shame, Marc. For shame.

I forgot to mention I had a dream about a new animated Fantastic Four a few nights ago. Apparently by brain had a voice cast of Bruce Campbell (Reed), Don Rickles (Ben), Nana Visitor (Sue), Justin Long (Johnny) and Vincent D’onofrio (Doom)… with me doing most of the additional voices.

    Love it, Marc!
