If you look back to some of the other singers who are no longer with us, you could substitute their names with Elvis. Just need to substitute their actions during their lifetimes and how they were found. Sid, Michael, Amy are some of those off the top of my head.

  2. Too true. But the sentiment is mainly on the decline of a great character, who peaked and fell.

  3. We see that a lot nowadays… where a character is kept on to claim a "legacy" but ends up diluting the character until he's just a name, a costume, and a plot-driving mechanism for various comics.

I say death is possibly a bit too much though… maybe have him knock up an Orion Slave Girl or something and retire from the hero business to "spend time with his family" like a politician.

Dr. Light as a rapist? Grimdark Wonder Dog?

If it were just trying to get back to an old spirit in a modern way it could potentially be entertaining. Instead it's less a revival and more a horror movie in Silver Age IP drag.

As for Kyle, he's been fucked up since even before Hal's return. One word: Ion.
