Wolverine was a misstep?!?! Please expound on this statement.

Also after Buffy Summers, Zoe Washburn, River Tam and a few I haven't seen or forgotten, I think the "Worthless Chick" may surprise you. Joss knows how to write strong women characters.

Oh, by the way, has anyone asked Joss if the Ship was named after the Serenity Prayer?

Funny – that exact thought just hit my mind yesterday, when i was doing something totally unrelated and ran across the prayer.

    • Wolverine: Origins was funny, mindless, and terrible. And personally? I liked it… in a "free cable" kinda way. But it was soulless. Hugh Jackman has taken the role on beautifully, but "Origins" was just a basic frame on which to hang special effects and shaky-cam fight scenes. And to end it off with a Deadpool who can't talk… who has ALL the superpowers of his original team? It's a cop out, and a lame one at that. Had the Wolverine Origin movie stuck closer to the comic roots, I think it would have garnered more favor with me, the fans, and the critics.

And yeah, I actually have VERY high hopes for the women in the Avengers. Whedon's track record with strong female characters is something I love about the guy.
