    Well done, Mr. Fishman! Dr. House contacted me with a follow-up response to add, “Everyone lies, and it’s always about sex.” He also says it’s not lupus, but I don’t think that’s relevant here.

    Is it a question of kinds are whiney because they’re drawn to Twilight, or that Twilight draws in kids that aare already whiney?

    I’m lucky. My older daughters are 12 and 10. They’ve both read most of the Twilight books (except for “Breaking Dawn, because my wife says it’s too creepy, when the demon-spawn baby breaks their mother’s spine and starts to eat her from inside the uterus. Oops, SPOILER ALERT!) Neither one of the them has become overly goth, self-involved or especially embarrassed being around their Dad… not yet. Should be any day now.
