I’ll be honest, part of me wants to stop on the way home and look for Flash Cakes. Beyond that I think they could have done worse.

Haven’t we seen reese’s cups shaped like the Batman insignia?

It’s not useless. It’s fun food. My wife woulda killed for glowing Green Lantern sno-balls. My daughter is planning on buying a box of each (don’t know if she’ll actually eat them, though).

The relationship between DC and Hostess goes back decades. They catered DC’s one and only DC-run convention back in February 1976 — they gave out Twinkies (wrapped as singles) to one and all. DC took the leftovers back to the office, and I know for a fact that there were still a few hundred or so left in the summer of 1978. I also know for a fact that they were still eatable. And they probably still are, today.

    Yum.
