    Gene’s retirement is both good and bad; good in that he’s worked his ass off and earned his rest, and bad in that a lot of people who retire after a long career just kinda fall over and die. So, Gene, if you’re reading this, I expect you to live a long time after this and enjoy every minute of your retirement. Have fun, and enjoy a lack of deadlines!

      Yes, unfortunately. I thought of Schultz (darn, now I see I misspelled it in the first post) before I even finished reading your post. I can’t think of another creator off the top of my head in the same boat, but I know there are many.
