Honestly, Mike, site’s damn near perfect. I never have trouble finding what I want. Now, go beat on Baron & Rude and get Nexus and/or Badger going in the comics here. I miss them!

  2. Corey Tacker says:

I like the convention coverage and comics news the most.Other ideas:–Creator interviews–More topics not covered as well by the other major comics news sites, to better differentiate this site–A message board aside from the article commenting system–Greater variety of webcomics

  3. Brandon Barrows says:

I like it as is, to be honest. It’s well layed out, things are easy to find. I don’t know what you could add to improve it.

I believe The Dude is publishing all Nexus stuff going forward, but the Badger ahhh, yes (he’s actually my avatar on sites that allow it). AND the latest Badger stuff was published by IDW…sounds like something could be worked out.

What’s the lag time you’re seeing? Can you be more specific?

      • mike weber says:

It’s close to two minutes and i’m not seeing the reply i made before this, yet.

        • mike weber says:

There it is! – something like two minutes for that one.

It varies, but it’s almost always longer than almost any other site i post comments to.

Move “Feature Comics” away from the top of the page. If you don’t have new comics to feature, it makes the whole site appear static. Otherwise, figure out a way to feature more new comics regularly.

Here’s a thought. You have three comics featured at the top of the page. Until you start getting several new issues each week, why not feature whichever ONE comic is NEW with the cover of Issue #1 Cover of TWO other comics you have in the archives. Let people show up and say, “EZ Street! I heard that was good,” or “I didn’t know ComicMix had a GrimJack story here!” Let the archived comics rotate randomly, shifting every few days, just to give the top of the page a new look.

The small box to the right that reads, “READ OUR COMICS — FOR FREE!” has an alphabetical drop down menu, but it always features “The Adventures of Simone and Ajax” at the top of the bar. That featured title should rotate randomly. Even if you click on “The Adventures of Simone and Ajax,” you don’t get that comic, you still have to scroll down to the comic and click again. So it doesn’t matter what title is there. But it would give the sight a new look if those titles rotated.

You could do the same for “COMICMIX FEATURES” and “ARTICLES BY CONTRIBUTOR.” Why should Aaron Rosenberg be forever highlighted, just because his name starts with a double “A”? Let people have a chance to randomly discover that there is a treasure trove of material here by Dennis O’Neil or John Ostrander.
