Addendum — as per a translated report from Bisco Hatori’s web site, the campaign for a 2nd season of OHC has failed and there are no plans for it + the last chapter of OHC will be #83, so this month’s whopping 50+ page chapter (still not out in English scanlations) is 3rd from the end…said to concentrate on Tamaki and Haruhi’s relationship.

Addendum: as per a translation of Bisco Hatori’s web site, the campaign for a season 2 of the manga has failed and nothing’s in the work on that. OHC #81 is now up on http://www.one-manga.com and things will now end around 9/24 with ch. 83, concentrating on Haruhi and Tamaki-tono’s relationship.

It’s been a while since I saw this anime, but I do remember it being fun to watch! Sometimes it was a little too cutesy for me, but it was still enjoyable. A story’s characters are a big selling point in my book, and OHSHC had really interesting and likable characters.

There are OHSHC video games? I’m curious to know what the gameplay is like…

Welcome, Kaylee! Oh…my first reaction when I heard the theme song, "Sakura Kiss," was, "Make it stop! Kawaii! No!" But then the opening was so quiet and the landscapes and architecture so beautiful and the music so good…and Haruhi talking to her dead mom…it was just the insulin I needed to get over the cute-attack…and after all the wackiness, you got Tamaki and Haruhi fishing around in the pond and Tamaki's "pond voice," as Caitlin Glass called it to Vic Mignogna, truly compassionately human. OHC always knows when to dial it back and I came to trust the author and actors and directors in that. Every ep made me laugh and cry and go "OMG!" at some point. Extraordinary. But, then again, this Philosopher is a sucker for friends and a love story (when Kyouya turns and talks to the camera at the end of the 1st ep…you know exactly what you're in for). And now, God help me, I even like the theme song! Such is the magic of the Host Club. Why I started my own. Everyone should have a chance to get to be that happy.
