I was 16 years old when I saw “The Red Sonja Review” in Lawrenceville, NJ. When someone told me about the Savage Sword of Conan issue that contained a comic adaptation of the show, I grabbed it! Happy Birthday Frank and thanks for the memories!

Now I know where Frank drew his inspiration from when designing all those lovely and voluptuous ladies. Happy Birthday, Frank!!!

Oh yeah! Frank has attended many a costume contest at numerous Fantasy shows! Judging Red Sonja look-a-likes were among his “chores.” That’s why he gathered some of the most beautiful and talented winners and set up a tour that hit many cities nationwide. One of the ladies, the famous Wendy “Elfquest” Pini enlisted her husband and partner, Richard, as lighting director due to his experience as a planetarium director. Lucky dog!!!

This is for frank Thorne: In the 70’s, when l was in college, I read an episode of ‘Danger Rangerette’ in the old NL. Ranger Rangerette shot a little dog for stealing weiners from a convenience store using a tranquillizer gun accidently set on ‘elephant.’ That may be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. I now work for the Park Service and I’d love to have a copy of that for my office wall. Any thoughts? Thank you- Jean H.
