Just checked tha "100 Movies" list; i see at least ten i wouldn't watch on a side bet – "Rocky" and "Titanic", for example.Of the ones left after skipping the ones i haven't seen and wouldn't watch anyway (about ninety) i count forty-six i've seen (a few of which i'd like to demand my wasted time back on – "Slouching Story, Hidden Plot Device", " It's a Wonderful Life" and "Wizard of Oz", for example).Personally, the Leone film i'd have included is Once Upon a Time in the West, rather than "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", but that's a judgment call – they're number two and number one, respectively, on IMDB's list of the greatest Westerns.
I surprise myself in noting that there are thirteen films on the list that I've never seen. On the other hand, about a dozen I've seen multiple times. There were a couple, WILD STRAWBERRIES in particular, that I believe I may have seen, but can't swear to it.I could probably nitpick a bit, but only two films stood out as questionable. While I liked TOY STORY very much, I do think that there are a number of Disney & other animated films that might have been chosen first. FANTASIA!!!!! for instance? Also, why pick the second TERMINATOR flick over the original? Still the list does encourage me to make the attempt to seek out the dozen films I've never seen, which I suppose is the reason behind the list to begin with.
