Perhaps I'm just a sucker for literary biography of any sort, but I loved A DRIFTING LIFE. It's a common enough set of agonies-should I write for love or money? is that guy better than me? If everyone does Y, shouldn't I do X. Though we don't get to see much of the results of gekiga in the book itself, I couldn't help but be moved by the character's struggle to create it.Nick M.

Here at the library where I work we just got A DRIFTING LIFE in for our Graphic Novel section. We have a nice manga selection and it will be interesting to see how well this item circulates. I'll have to put in a Reserve so I can read it myself.
