Twilight’s Catherine Hardwicke: ‘If I Stay’, a ‘Maximum Ride’?
Mending their relationship, Twilight production company Summit Entertainment and director Catherine Hardwicke are coming together again for the new fantasy/drama movie If I Stay, according to Variety. The movie is based on author Gayle Forman’s young adult novel If I Stay, which will be published this spring by Dutton children’s Books.
Additionally, via ICv2, Hardwicke is in discussions with Columbia Pictures to develop and direct a movie adaptation of James Patterson young-adult book series Maximum Ride. Ex-Marvel honcho Avi Arad is producing the adaptation of Patterson’s tale of six teens who have been genetically altered so that they can fly. On the one hand, both the text versions and Yen Press’ Maximum Ride graphic novels have done very well. On the other hand, Arad’s first film after leaving Marvel– was Bratz.
i soooo hope that Catherine doesn't become the director for Maximum Ride she already ruined twilight for me and many other people out there and now she's thinking of ruining my nest to twilight favourite books….i would prefer they didnt make the movie if catherine's to direct…and i know many other people who'd agree…
seriously please please dont let catherine direct this! she already ruined an amazing book series and she will probobly do the same to this one. Also i hear that they are thinking of casting Kristen Stuart as Max! Okay i am sorry people but she has one expression and thats it. She a suckinsh actor and beleive me i am a hugely devoted twilight (the books) fan! I have read them all like a bunch of times but seriously dont let her ruin another book series.
ugh! i do NOT want catherine to direct ANY movies! she ruined my fav book series, Twilight! she's going to ruin This Lullaby to! I can just tell. She's such a suckish director! I mean come on! Twilight was soo much more romantic through the books! She made the movie get soo many bad reviews by a lot of teens who never got a chance to read the book and now they hate it enough to not even bother to read the books! She should find a new job! hopefully she won't ruin that too
