ComicMix Quick Picks – March 2, 2009
- Happy birthday to Theodore Geisel. And happy birthday to my dad. No, my dad is not Dr. Seuss.
- From an article in the Guardian: "Americans already consume va stly more paper than any other country — about three times more per person than the average European, and 100 times more than the average person in China. Barely a third of the paper products sold in America are from recycled sources — most of it comes from virgin forests." In other words, yet another pressure on comics.
- Drew Barrymore to Direct Third Twilight?
- Groening’s “Life In Hell” In Trouble? | Comic Book Junction

Very cool interview with Mark Wheatley and Robert Tinnell about ComicMix's own Lone Justice over at AintItCool.com. I would love to see more interviews like this, even here on ComicMix. Maybe with Trevor Von Eeden or Mike Grell? How about a father/daughter interview with Frank McLaughlin and Erin Erin Holroyd! That would make a great Father's Day feature! Crap! Father's Day is not until June. When will White Viper 2 be coming to ComicMix? If it's not until June, that will make a nice tie-in.And it's also Theo LeSieg's birthday, an influential children's book author ("Ten Apples Up On Top," "The Eye Book"), whose achievements have been almost entirely eclipsed by Dr. Suess!
Very funny. I loved "Ten Apples up on Top" when I was a kid.http://www.findingdulcinea.com/features/profiles/…
