Vin had some good moments in this, but even a great actor can not save a poor script. Having read the book first, I was disapointed. 10 or 11 good scenes, just not enough to put togeather and call a movie. Acrtic chase-good, sub rush-scary good, the gun fights in N.Y. and the bits leading up to it didn't work with the rest of the film. I kept asking why?, All i can do now is look forward to April and F&F4. Best bet, watch movie right up to point where Vin's charactor gets shot. Then turn it off.
