i hate how people slam the 1979 series with gil gerard. i grew up with that series and its outstanding even today. obviously the people who slam the series have no imagination and should get a life . quote- 'series and the 1979 NBC series (the horrible adaptation with Gil Gerard).'for its time the special effects were awesome and the story linbes suited the time when it was made. yes things get old and out of date but this series still stands up in my opinion. leave it alone .. we dont wanna another remake !
