Actually, FOX is no different than any other network in terms of giving shows a chance. It cancels them if they're not making any money off it, same as every other network. The network simply has a reputation for cancelling shows "too soon" due mostly to Joss Whedon fans complaining about Firefly.

Actually, Fox has canceled more shows than any other network, and they're known for asking for a seasons worth of shows and canceling it after 2 or 3 episodes. And unlike other stations if the rating aren't the best but the reviews are great they'll still cancel it.I also want to say that I think this review was horrible, I happened to really enjoy the series premier and hope that this show stays on for seasons to come.

I completly agree. I loved the first episode and the episodes folowing. Fringe is such a suspense filled show, it's addicting. Also, it is well written and always keeps you guessing, which is saying something as most shows on TV have quite the predictable plot.Oh, and by the way, it has gotten past 4 episodes. Doesn't look like it's getting canceled!

You seem bitter dear… perhaps a Martini or seven, a colonic, and then… a second glimpse of the pilot to rectify your erroneous, jaded review. This show's NOT going to go over the heads of millions of viewers… it's going to be embraced by them. We (lesser, inferior beings) believe that you, your ego and cynicism should "Suck it hard!" then lighten up Sugar Plum.
