Comic-Con Photo Gallery: Costumes (Part 3)
Sometime tomorrow I’ll post a general gallery of some of the creators, sights and swag that made this year’s San Diego Comic-Con memorable, but for now, here’s yet another gallery of some of the costumes that are such a big part of the Comic-Con scene. As I mentioned with the first and second galleries, you have my apologies for the blurriness of some of the photos — it was a wall-to-wall experience on the show floor and not the most ideal environment for photography.
My cap is off to the folks brave enough to attend the con in costume. Considering the ribbing and snide comments some may have to endure it does demonstrate a real love for the characters they portray. At least that one guy you show in the "V" mask is being a bit creative, since most folks I saw did little but don the mask.A quick comment on the Jokers, while I'm thinking of it. I noticed that a number were simply 'recycling' their typical Jack Nicholson or comicbook standard Joker, but smeared the lipstick. Doesn't quite transform you into Ledger, does it?Of the old-fashioned Jokers the best had to be the gentleman in amazing makeup and wearing the Arkham Asylum straight-jacket. He truly had the facial look and laugh of Nicholson down pat, and you could pick out that laugh throughout the lobby. I have a photo somewhere of him with a 'furry' that is disturbing.
That 'V' is clever, clever, clever. Thanks for all the great pics!
