i've just finished CROSSED #1 & just when you think it's another–ho hum!–"zombie"-like comic, the ending just punches you in the throat. watching a very young mother asked to be spared the horror of what's coming by having her "geek" husband end her life & then turning on him when he fails to be a "man" was gut wrenching. the way he suffers the same fate as her is both shocking & telling. this is true horror. as usual, garth ennis proves he is the master of ignoring self-censorship & stays true to his vision. also, thank you for your comment about the current administration's "rape" of america–i totally agree.
